After the performance, children will have the opportunity to create their own art, drawing and crafting as a way to process and express their experiences.

Vincent van Gogh and the Sunny Side of Paintings

Why do the pictures swirl and twirl? And what happened to Van Gogh’s ear? How did a poor painter become one of the most famous artists in the world?
Let us tell you the story of Vincent van Gogh — a painter who didn’t have much money, but had a heart full of dreams and colors. He didn’t just paint what he saw… he painted what he felt. Swirling skies, bright yellow flowers, and starry nights full of wonder. But back then, not everyone understood his art. Van Gogh’s life wasn’t easy, and there’s a lot we can learn from him — about being brave, staying strong, and never giving up.

MA-KI the little artist monkey is also learning how to express his feelings through painting. It’s not always easy, but with a bit of help, some stories, and lots of color, he’s on his way!
Do you love the sky? The fluffy clouds? Bright yellow sunflowers? Then come along  and join MA-KI as we dive into Van Gogh’s world! We’ll tell stories, play games, and create our very own masterpieces — just like Vincent!

Banksy – MA-KI and the Mystery of the Street Artist

A Whirlwind City Adventure with the Little Blue Monkey
Once upon a spray-painted wall…

Today, MA-KI the artist monkey isn’t bringing us a masterpiece from a museum — oh no! He’s discovered something far more exciting… something hiding in plain sight on the walls of the world’s biggest gallery: the city streets! It all began in a place called Bristol, where people woke up one morning to find the sides of buildings covered in strange and magical paintings. A girl floating away with balloons… a gorilla wearing a crown… a man tossing a bouquet instead of a bomb! But who made them? No one knew. The artist never showed his face. He painted under moonlight, then vanished into the shadows. All they had was a name whispered like a secret: Banksy. Curious as ever, MA-KI grabs his camera, ties on his backpack, and sets off on a globe-trotting adventure! From one city to the next, he follows paint trails and pigeon whispers, collecting clues and snapshots of Banksy’s wild, witty, and wonderful works.

Would you like to see what he found?
Come join MA-KI as he uncovers the secrets of street art, meets dancing rats and dreamy girls, and learns that sometimes… the whole world is a canvas. Let’s follow the paint — and the mystery!

Frida Kahlo – MA-KI in the Magic of Mexico
A Colorful Journey with the Little Blue Monkey

One sunny morning, MA-KI the brave little explorer set off on a brand-new adventure — this time, all the way to Mexico! Why? Because he’d heard a delightful rumor… his cousin, a long-armed spider monkey named Gusztáv, had become a model for a famous painter!
Gusztáv is so excited to show MA-KI around his bright and blooming home. And guess what? He even arranges a very special meeting — with none other than the wonderful, flower-crowned artist herself: Frida Kahlo!

Frida’s world is full of magic and mystery — bright colors, bold patterns, and paintings that speak from the heart. MA-KI has a million questions:
“What do Mexican children wear?”
“What are those delicious smells coming from the kitchen?”
“And what kind of music makes everyone dance so joyfully?”

Together, they explore Frida’s cozy blue house, peek into her vibrant studio, and discover a land bursting with art, spirit, and surprises. Are you ready to join the adventure? Come along and step into Frida Kahlo’s magical world — where colors whisper stories, paintings sparkle with secrets, and all of Mexico dances with life!

Picnic with Pál Szinyei Merse

Grab your blanket and paintbrush — MA-KI is going on a very special picnic!

Out in a sunny meadow, under the blue sky, MA-KI meets a kind old painter named Pál Szinyei Merse. Pál has wonderful stories to tell — like how he became one of Hungary’s most famous artists, and how he painted beautiful pictures like May Day and The Lady in Violet.
So MA-KI snuggles up on a soft blanket, sets out a big, blank canvas, and sips on some warm cocoa. Then — off he goes — joining Pál for a colorful art adventure beneath the wide, open sky! They giggle, they paint, and they share stories with their cheerful picnic friends. Want to come too? Let’s paint the world around us, just like Pál did — out in the fresh air, where imagination runs wild!

Come along on a cozy, creative adventure — where friendship, nature, and imagination make the perfect picture.

The blue little monkey puppet of the MA-KI puppet show was created by the puppet designer of the Budapest Puppet Theatre for the KÉPEZŐ Gallery.
